Intego VirusBarrier X5 10.5.6 Provides Several Scanning Improvements And Enhancements to the Program’s Operations

Austin, TX, January 6, 2009: Intego, the Macintosh security specialist, today announced the release of VirusBarrier X5 10.5.6, an update to its acclaimed antivirus software that has garnered excellent reviews from the Mac press. This new version provides several improvements to scan operations, and improves performance for several of the program’s functions. This update includes the following changes:

• Scans now stop when volumes being scanned are unmounted
• Scan scheduling is improved
• Improved handling of disk images when scanned on SMB volumes
• Optimization of scans of .pax archives
• Bug fixes
