The Anvil Group, specialists in crisis avoidance services, is pleased to announce it has been certified with the internationally renowned ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 27001: 2001 standards. The certifications recognise The Anvil Group’s dedication to a systematic and quantifiable approach to quality standards for its business processes, related to design and delivery of its personal and IT based security solutions for global enterprises.

The International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) is a global federation of national standards bodies. ISO 9001:2000 certification represents strict adherence to the highest standards and practices through documented procedures that cover all key business processes, monitoring systems to ensure business process effectiveness, thorough record-keeping, and quality monitoring systems facilitating continual improvement in the organisation. The ISO 27001:2001 certification defines security control objectives and recommends a range of specific security controls under the requirements for an Information Security Management System (ISMS).

The Anvil Group’s information systems and quality of management both came under rigorous audits over a three-day period. The new certifications allow Anvil Group to better manage its systems and security controls, ensuring improved customer service and data protection of key information.

“The ISO certifications are prestigious acknowledgements for any organisation,” said The Anvil Group Director, Matthew Judge. “We are extremely pleased to have achieved these two certifications at the same time, and it really reflects the quality of service and management we provide to our customers. Prospective customers feel comfortable working with organisations that have a certified measure of the standards of quality they provide.”

The Anvil Group’s provision of physical and information security services are now measured against the highest of standards and enable it to provide its customers with heightened levels of service.

“The ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 27001:2001 certifications have been designed to recognise an organisations commitment to improvement and assurance of services to its customers,” says the certifying body ISOQAR’s Marketing Manager, Nigel Dunkinson. “The Anvil Group has demonstrated itself as an organisation where the application of ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001, throughout its headquarters and response centres, is focused on both improving business effectiveness and increasing efficiency.”

"The completion of ISO certification is a key milestone that matches our organisation-wide commitment to quality standards and excellence that will resonate well with our many global partners and customers,” added Judge.
