CA Opens Select Beta Testing for CA Total Defense r12

Comprehensive Security Solution to Provide Businesses with Endpoint,
Gateway, Unified Network Control and Intrusion Protection
DATCHET, UK, March 1, 2010 – CA (NASDAQ: CA) today opened beta testing for CA Total Defense r12, its all-inclusive security product which incorporates endpoint security, gateway security, unified network control and intrusion protection into a single comprehensive solution to provide network administrators and security managers an action-based tool to help prevent, monitor and remediate most security threats.
CA Total Defense provides organizations of all sizes a modular solution to satisfy their specialized security needs. The product will be tiered as five different offerings designed to meet the unique security requirements of the customer, ranging from a comprehensive package with gateway and endpoint protection to a basic offering that simply provides malware protection. All versions of CA Total Defense can be remotely managed and deployed using predefined or customized policies.
“One of the biggest problems facing security managers is the wasted time caused by the fractured and laborious process of assessing security threats,” said Mark Gergely, principal product manager for CA Internet Security Business Unit. “After years of exhaustive research on how customers want to interact with their security products, our team designed CA Total Defense r12 to offer network administrators and security managers a consolidated and automated approach to help prevent, monitor and remediate most security threats.”
